Hip Hop With Jess🎉❤

Today we had Hip Hop with Jess. I felt really apprehension walking into the the room. At first I thought she was a choreograph.  First we introduced ourselves the we went straight to the warm up. Then we danced to Up Town Funk by Bruno Mars.

I really enjoyed the dance moves.

Commonwealth Games/ Men's Cycling Team Leads To Victory!

Commonwealth Games 2018. Men's Cycling Team Leads To Victory

In the Gold Coast, Australia the Commonwealth Games are being hosted there. I saw all the participants who were included in the cycling race. During the games there had been a  tremendous gold medal win by the New Zealand cycling team! There names are Eddie Dawkins, Sam Webster and Ethan Mitchell. Their winning time was 42.877 seconds which was nearly half a second quicker than England. I feel really satisfied that they came first place.

I need to learn how to understand and demonstrate the responsible use of my Chromebook.  Source: Smart Learners- Cybersmart
I have to remember to be on the right site at the right time and with the right attitude.
Remember to think about the information you share with other people online/media.
Remember to think before you act. For example when you're buying things make sure you do a lot of research on the product you're thinking of buying.

Macaroni and Cheese

Macaroni and Cheese
It was another day at food tech. We were making Macaroni and Cheese. We added herbs and all other spices and seasonings. It was like we were professional chefs. We tasted our food and it was actually an excellent dish. Other people liked it as well. It was extremely easy for me and Riiana.
One skill I have learnt for this week is how to dice and slice an onion.

Chocolate, Chocolate Chocolate Muffins!!!

It was just another day at tech with Mrs Tuipolotu. Except this time we were making delicious chocolate muffins. We used all different kinds of elements. My favourite ingredient we used was coco powder and my less favourite was flour. In my opinion it was really hard to make.
One skill I have learnt during this lesson is how to put the batter into the muffin tray without making a  big mess.

Tomato Soup!!!

A few of my classmates and I have been going to food tech for the past few weeks. It has been a really pleasant  time learning to cook. We were making tomato soup, served with rice. While I was stirring the soup I got distracted by a boy named Tristan, and made a mess. It was okay because afterwards I cleaned it myself. One thing I have learnt for this week is everybody makes mistakes during cooking.

Food Tech

This week I was nervous because we were separated into new groups and Mrs Tuipulotu put us with new partners. I was collaborating with my friend Riiana. I was really apprehensive because I thought I might ruin our fruit salad

In the end it turned out to be really easier than I imagined. One skill I have learnt this week is to mix ingredients together well.

Experience At Tech

Last week we went to tech at Tamaki College. We do cooking with Mrs Tuipulotu. I was surprised when I saw St. Pius. Since it was my first year there. We were making sponge roll. My partner was a boy named Joseph from St. Pius.
Before we started we turned the oven up to 180 degrees. The resources were a bowl, tray, whisk, a dessert spoon, plastic spatula, measuring cup, hand mixer. Then the dry elements were half a cup of SFR and a third of a cup of sugar.  Next it was the wet ingredients which were 4 eggs and a third cup of oil.
The steps were:
  1. Combine all together.
  2. Next you whisk the all the ingredients then use the hand mixer.
  3. Next put your batter in to the tray.
Next leave your batter in the oven till crispy. Remember spread butter on to the tray first. Lastly add all the toppings you want. One skill I have learnt this week is learning what the names of the ingredients were called.
