1. My first reason is I make good decisions. Which could help our country have a good prime minster and government.  

2. My second reason is I hate to wait to be able to do things. Plus I would love to vote so people won't think i'm a little girl any more.

3. My last reason is I want to prove that I can help our country with all kinds of things.

Waka Ama

I would love to be in the Waka Ama boat race, because that could get me out of a whole lot of  chores for the day. Plus it could get me outdoors instead of being stuck in the house doing nothing which is EXTREMELY BORING. It's also to prove i'm not a lazy person like old people.

I know how it feels to be moving to a new country. When I first came to NZ I was really scared and nervous at the same time. It was scary because there were new things I never knew. Also going to school was the worse part for me because I was already bonding with the other people at my old school, but I always looked on the bright side which was starting fresh which meant new house new friends and new school.When I thought of all those things I began to think of the great things it could do to my life it could build up my confidence and so it did which makes me feel better about myself.
Ever since that day I've grown up to achieve things in my life.

Today I will give you 3 facts about Maui. My fist fact about Maui is that he is a noble warrior that will always protect his village from anything that comes near it. Also he does not care when people insult him.

My second fact is Maui has powers that again help him protect his village and help him prove to other people that he isn't just a little kid but can help other people.

My last and final fact about Maui is he is known in legends movies and many more which practically makes him famous. Some of Maui's legends are called Maui and the sun,  Maui and the giant fish.

10th Year Anniversary Of The Manaiakalani Film Festival

We went on a bus. Some people from our school went before us because they were presenting films in other cinemas for other schools. My  favourite film was Tamaki Primary's singing film. I forgot what it was called but it was an excellent film. We went to the film festival at 1:00.

We got good compliments from the bus driver they said "we are the best school so far". Well I felt good. In the cinema we were with St. Pius x Catholic school. It was the 10th year anniversary.  I felt tired after all the films.

Hi today for reading we are doing a quiz on our book called Kiwi in the city.  My partner is Fakaola. So what we are going to do is memorise these animals.

So Fakaola just finished testing me and I got 8/5. Now I have to test Fakaola. Fakaola got 11/11. She answered possums, rats, mice, stoats, goats, deer, pigs, cats, dogs, hedgehogs and rabbits. I tested her on pest she tested me on animals that are not pest. I answered kiwi, giant weta, weka, north island robins and tuatara and forgot Kaka, bellbirds and saddlebacks.

Today we read a chapter book called 'The Next Finder'. Its an interesting book by George Ivanoff and illustrated by Julian Drakais. Its about a boy named Toby, his mum just found a job at a junkyard. There at the junkyard was a weird thing that was really important to a man called 'Scrarp'. I recommend that all students should read this interesting book about 'The Next Finder'.

Ginger, Brownie and Sleepy My Kittens

Sleepy

I have always wanted to have a kitten in my life but my mum didn't have enough money to buy one. So I didn't really care because if I had or not had a kitten. If I had a kitten I knew it would be hard work looking after a kitten.

It all started when I was about 5 years old I had 3 kittens instead of just 1 kitten. The first kitten was all light brown on the body then dark brown stripes on the body so I called her ginger. The second cat was black and white. It was always sleepy so I called that cat sleepy. The third cat looked exactly like the first cat so I named that cat brownie.

Since my mum didn't have enough money I had to give 2 cats away. I gave away ginger to my auntie Lima and and I gave brownie away to my other auntie Lata. I kept sleepy because she was special to me. Shes special to me because she was black and white and brownie and ginger were the same colour. That's the reason why I kept sleepy. 

I always liked to play with sleepy. I could only play with sleepy sometimes because she was asleep most of the times everyday. At night time sleepy would be playing and i'm asleep. One afternoon when I came back from school my mum told me sleepy had died and she was only a teenager.

If I could be any any animal in the world I would love to be a lion. I want to be a lion because lions are strong and fierce. There's something stopping me from being a lion... I am already a human being. My last reason why I want to be a lion is because I am bossy and the lion is the king of the jungle.

Yesterday I read Buried treasure. It was about a little girl that was going to Mowhanau beach to find buried fossils. What it said in the story was "The cliffs are really dangerous. Parts of them can suddenly collapse. There's something else to watch out, too. The tide. If we get trapped between the cliffs and the tide is coming in, were in big trouble.

All In Black

Just recently a family member of mine died, her name was Ana Naugh Vatuvei. She had sort of bushy, curly hair which was grayish and white. She looked so little and skinny in side the brown coffin she was lying in. The colour of her skin was was light brown. When she was lying in her coffin her mouth was closed.

On the first day of the funeral, we couldn't make it so we went on the second day. The funeral was in Panmure next to a laundromat. When I walked into the funeral place I got a little fright because it was scary and it felt creepy. It was sad to see people close to her cry out loud.

It was nearly finished so it was time to kiss her. The first ones to kiss her were her actual family. Then it was the people who were close to the family, I was one of them. At first I felt confident to kiss her but when I got up I felt uncomfortable. When I kissed her she was really cold which made my lips cold.

Yesterday in the afternoon the juniors had their skip off. Realitey came first then  Otolose came second after, Jacob came third. I felt really happy for Otolose who is my cousin. I feel happy that she came second in the juniors skip off.

Yesterday I made a string phone out of cups and strings. To make my string phone work, I had to make sure that I pulled the string tight enough. Then I would give one of the cups to my friend so I can talk to her/he through the string phone. After I put the cup on to my ear and listen to what my friend is saying through the cup. That is how my string phone works.

Today in the morning we had the seniors skip off. There were four people from 9 10 and 12. The people who came first second and third. Meana from room 12 came third Fakaola from room 10 came second and last of all was Limiteti from room 9 who came first!

Coach St. Kents

Today in the morning some St Kents students came to our school. They were coaching us. Some people were playing soccer, rugby tag and touch. We played a knee game and we had to practice playing soccer.

All about TONGA

The past few weeks we have been learning about Tonga. It was easy for me because Tonga is where I come from. It was also easy because I had alot of help from the group I was working with. Their names are Tristan, Tupou and Kain.

Today we read a book called ''Don't waste the water!''. It is about a girl named Elisapeta. It talks about how she cares about water. She gets up every day early to fetch a bucket of water. She tells us why wasting water is not right.

Why family is important?

The most important people to me is my family. I love my family for a reason and it is not because they are my family. I love them because they will love me no matter what I do and say. I also love them because they provide me with water and food. They also look after me when I am sick. My family helps me go through private stuff like bullies.

The other day we made a speech about something we love. So I wrote about my family and why I love them.

Harry's war

Today we read a book called ''Harry's War'' it was about how he was treated in war with his friends. His friends were treated like they were sheep that were kept in a pen. In their training they attacked sacks with bayonets. They went to camps like Sling Army Camp on the Salisbury plain. At the end they used chalk to draw a kiwi on a mountain.

My first Duffy book 2017

Today we had our first Duffy assembly for 2017. Our role models were Robert and Henry. The last time we saw henry was when were at Tamaki primary school. Robert is the brown wiggle. Today we were so happy and lucky. Our sponsor is Terry Jarvis. Mr. Jarvis is retired, but he still gives us Duffy books.

Today my group was reading what's for pudding. It was written by Adam pryor. It is made with cassava coconut milk also banana leaves. If you think it is the desert pudding it is not. It comes from a small village called Na Mugha in the Solomon islands. The puddings name is Makira pudding.
